Well, if you’ve come to this blog, you might be interested (or not) in who is posting here. As you probably have guessed, my name is Pete Nelson. I’m a software engineer and architect living near Seattle. These days I primarily develop enterprise web applications using mostly Java technologies, Spring, JSP, XML/XHTML and so on, with Oracle backends, but I’ve used a lot of different technologies in the many different projects I’ve worked on over the many years I have been designing and writing software.
What will I write about here? I don’t really have a specific theme – just stuff that I am interested in: software, science, a bit of religion now and then, politics, and so forth and so on. Over the past few years I’ve started to learn Mandarin Chinese and developed a strong interest in that fascinating language, the culture, and the country, so I’ll probably post some about that as well.
